Rip Rap and Shoreline Stabilization

Bank washing away?

Shoreline rock, drainage swales and culvert ends. Stone sized to the job so it stays put.

Bobcat mini excavator placing rip-rap along lake shoreline beside dock, American flag, lake house behind

How it works

Lake shorelines that are eroding back toward the yard. Ditches that cut deeper every storm. Culvert ends that keep washing out.

Rip rap is rock sized big enough that water cannot move it. Put in right, with the bank shaped first, it fixes the problem instead of moving it downstream.

We work on Lake Norman and on plain roadside ditches. Same idea either way.

What we need to know to quote it

Have these ready when you call and we can usually give you a number on the spot.

  • How long a stretch are we talking about?
  • Is this lakefront, a ditch, or around a culvert pipe?
  • How bad is it now? Roots showing and undercut is different from just bare.
  • Can we get a truck and an excavator to it?
